Combining Fonts and Images

The purpose of this assignment was to look for a font to use for a companies name that visually connects with the icon being used. I chose to create a logo for a flower company. This flower companys name was Bloom Avenue. I decided to use a font that was script because it appears very delicate just like a flower. I then decided to incorporate an actual flower pedal to have an attractive looking logo. I used photoshop in order to get the image of the flower pedal alone. I used the marque tool to select only this flower pedal. I also cut a circle in the middle of the flower pedal so that I could have the double o from the word bloom appear through the flower. I then increased the hue of the flower to highlight some purple and green. Lastly I decided to make the font the same purple from the flower to have a constant flow of colors. I think this combination of fonts and images looks great. Not only do the colors and font look great together but the image accents the name of the company.
